Seasons & Temperatures

Summer is from Nov to Mar with hot days. Shade temperatures rise to the 38°C mark and higher, reaching 44°C on rare occasions. Winter is from May to Aug, with clear-skied and bone-dry days. The air is warm during the daylight hours but cold at night and in the early mornings. The in-between periods - Apr/early May and Sept/Oct, still tend to be dry, with cooler days than in summer and warmer nights than in winter.

Botswana offers a truly unique African experience untouched by the destructive pressures of encroaching civilization, presenting a wonderful wilderness for the enjoyment of all who visit. 38% of the entire country falls has been set aside for conservation purposes. This is unprecedented in the world.
